Families First

Families First Program works in partnership with the Region of Peel and offers health, recreation and employment support for sole support parents receiving financial assistance.

Activities

Dixie Bloor Neighbourhood Centre coordinates recreational activities for children. The opportunity will give children the chance to develop their abilities. Families First Case Coordinator will:

Arrange for children to participate in recreational activities of their choice.
Organize funding for registration fees, transportation, uniforms and equipment.
Refer to licensed child care centers and/or Home Care agencies.
Assist in covering cost of informal child care.
Provide appropriate referrals to address other client’s needs.

Eligibility

Social assistance recipients living within Mississauga.

Registration

Referrals by the Region of Peel.
