Who We Are?
DBNC is the lead LEAP intake agency in Mississauga. Eligible applicants may receive a one-time payment of up to $750 toward electricity arrears (when electricity is the sole source of power).
We are NOT Alectra and do NOT have the ability to take payment or view your account information.
What We Do?
We pre-screen applicants to assess household income and other eligibility criteria, including whether they are at risk of electricity disconnection due to non-payment. If eligible, staff will advise applicants on the required supporting documents to complete the LEAP application.

How to Apply?
STEP 1: Start your application today by completing the pre-screening and Application
STEP 2: Our team will review your submission, and if you are eligible, you will receive an email from [email protected].
Required supporting documents:
| Current electricity bill | ID for all household members | Bank statements for all household members aged 18 and over |
| Disconnection or collection notice | Proof of income | Proof of household ownership (lease/rental receipt, mortgage document, etc) |

LEAP For Gas?
United Way of Greater Simcoe County is the lead agency for all Enbridge/Hydro1 clients. Please call 1-855-487-5327 and a UW staff will guide you through the process.
