As a trusted partner of the Ontario Energy Board, we can support low-income residents in completing income verifications to apply for this program. Eligible clients may qualify for a monthly credit applied directly to their energy bill.

Are you Eligible?

The amount of the credit depends on two factors: 

  1. How many people live in the home and
  2. Combined household income. 

For example, a home with 4 people and an annual income of $37,000 will receive an on-bill credit of $34 each month. 

Note: amount of credit is subject to regulatory approval and may change.

How to Apply?

STEP 2: Our team will review your submission, and if you are eligible, you will receive an email from [email protected].

Required supporting documents:

Current electricity bill ID for all household members
SIN Numbers for household members over 18 years and over Proof of income

You may receive additional benefits

If your home is electrically heated, or you rely on medical devices requiring a lot of power, OESP offers a higher level of assistance.

If you belong to First Nations or Métis, you will qualify for a higher level of assistance.

OESP Monthly Credit Amounts by Household Income Level- Energy Intensive

Three at-home medical devices will qualify an applicant for the higher level of assistance: 

  • Kidney Dialysis Machine 
  • Mechanical Ventilators (invasive and non-invasive) 
  • Oxygen Concentrator
