On Friday, August 26th, the DBNC Newcomer Youth Community Engagement (NYCE) celebrated the end of summer at the happiest place on earth – Wonderland!

Okay, maybe not the happiest, but certainly one of the funnest!

The NYCE team and their group of youth participants, spent the day soaking up the sunshine and riding all the coasters.

Something our NYCE facilitators really pride themselves on is their ability to bond with the youths that take part in their program, in order to build and grow trust. Making time for fun activities, like a day at an amusement park, is an especially great way to develop memories together. Prioritizing fun is just as important as encouraging hard work!

With back to school just around the corner and colder weather creeping up on us, DBNC would like to wish everyone a safe and happy return to classes! We hope the Summer of 2022 was everything you missed out on, over the last two years.
